I just read on this sight that a fellow thought that 1600 hours was high. That is only 40 weeks of 40 hours each of running. Does this mean If I buy a new tractor and use it every day for less than one year it has high hours? That is equivilant to 19,200 miles in a car at 60 mph for the same period of time. That is not high miles in my book. What is considered high hours for a 1 year old tractor? How about a 10 year old? Just how long can a tractor built in the last 20 years and properly maintained and operated be expexted to last before a major rebuild or the bone yard?
