Fuel leaking from pumpPosted by L.C. in Indiana on September 05, 2000 at 06:01:22 from (209.183.88.131):
I have an IH806 that has a constant leak of diesel fuel from the top of the fuel pump. On the top of the pump is a flat square plate with what appears to be a needle valve on about a 45 degree angle. Fuel leaks from around this valve if the engine is running or not, and over several days this can amount to quite a bit of wasted fuel. I surmise there may be an o-ring at the bottom of this valve but hesitate to mess with it because the tractor runs great. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
