We had a 8850 and we ended up putting $40,000 in it for a engine and transmission overhaul during the time we owned it. It was the first time we had to finance a shop bill. We traded it in on a 9400. Our neighbor has a 8850 with 7,000 hrs on it and they have not touched the engine yet. Some guys will say they were the greatest 4-wheel drive tractor JD made but we won't.
