Pete you are wrong. First in light industrial-last I knew the NH backhoe (the LB series) will not be the one dropped since it came out of the Fiat industrial design groups. NH skidsteer loader will continue to be made(just because plants are getting moved together doesn't mean much, afterall the CaseIH combine line is now in the NH plant in ND)the NH skidsteer will most likely be the base of any later models for both lines since it has a larger market share and thats all Fiat is concerned with. As far as the original buyout deal NH paid cash for CaseIH and paid off its entire debt load. NH only did this because Fiat who owns 73%or so of NH directed the deal simply to gain world market share. Fiat still owns the same percentage of the combined CNH global as they did of NH leaving the other 20+% in the hands of whoever owned that potion back when Ford Motor sold its holdings of Ford Tractor to Fiat. The C infront of CNH was given to get Rosso to sell out his majority ownings in CaseIH at the time. He was propmtly replaced with a Fiat board member last spring as were all of his management team from CaseIH.
