Well Mike, the first thing I can say is that JD provideds next day delivery to their dealers at no charge. So if its in the dealers assigned warehouse its there the next morning. NH does not. The only free delivery occurs on weekly stock orders. Regular daily orders are charged for shipping or freight depending on how big the item is. If needed in a hurry NH charges an extra 10% to rush it out, and if its not in the dealers assigned warehouse it still takes an extra day to have it processed and shipped from the next warehouse. So no NH's parts system is not that convienent.

With your backhoe I imagine that the new cylinders come from the newer Fiat design and they just don't want to build any to fit the Ford design. As far as the skidloader wheel, it is most likely that since they don't sell hardly any as a replacement part that their supply is in assembly and therefore not normally available for a parts shipment. With big companies today its all about supply management. Just like companies only ordering enough parts for assembly at a plant to be assembled just that day. If you don't have call for it you don't keep 10,000 on hand.
