It's not your fault JHEnt,I've found a basic mis-understanding of what's available, and going on in Euro tractors here in North America. Most are color-blind,and quite happy top stay that way! There just is not that much easily found info out there. You have to sift through the hype and dig a little deeper than the Madison Ave types want you to! Once you look into it you'll find that the European market is much bigger and has many more tractor options than our side of the pond!! Higher technology abounds in Europe, but sadly we only see a small amount of this here.

As for the connection that Valmet had with Agco,it was only to supply engines for the A/a line. No part ownership was ever involved. Yes Agco,as well as CaseIH did try to buy Valmet from the Finnish government in the 90's. They said no!! Today Valtra is a wholly owned subsidiary of a very strong Finnish company called Partek (www.partek.com)

The Zetor tractors that Deere had badge-engineered were the 2000 series. Under 95 hp or so.
