Hi Joe,

I'm also a volunteer-firefighter in germany.
to Your question:
Some guys here will tell You that You should buy an asian brand -tractor, but if I'll be on Your place, I would never do this. Sure, the newer compacts have Yanmar or Kubota Diesel, but John-Deere for example is an american brand, also like Ford.
We also do landscaping in Germany, and if You wanted to mow under trees Youhave to use a normal lawnmower for cleaning the corner.
In the moment we use a 12HP Murray and a lot of smaller mowers, most Mountfield. For Your Job and starting Your business it's better to start with used Equipment. And If You want to mow, buy a Front-end-mower like the Husquarna Rider. The lots in Texas are more bigger as in Germany, so that I woild prefere a smaller Standard-tractor
like the Ford 2000 or a John-Deere,even an european Brand-tractor like Deutz,Renault or the russian Belarus, a very cheap and well builded tractor, which You can buy with 25 HP and more.
The money You save if You do so, will make You able to buy the attachments that You need.
I've heard, that a asian compact cost 14000bucks,
buy a smaller Standard maybe for 6000$, save 8000
and You have the things You need for the amount of 1 new asian compact.
Joe, please, buy no rice-cup!!
Bernhard, Derichsweiler, Germany
