I'd go with something bigger than a compact myself. Used if you can handle the posibilities associated with them,new if you can not. Look into the Orchard & Vineyard tractors available out there. They give you big tractor power in a smaller size. By going with ag-tractor size you gain the choice of many more pieces of equipment that will work with your tractor. I agree with the part about Deere also. Do not be affraid of certain European brands either. Especially ones like Valtra,Steyr,Deutz,Renault. deere even believed in Zetor enough to paint them green and sell them as the 2000 series
