Hi Steven,

to buy a Same is most times a price-question. But I would say from my experience (Same Centurion 75, built 1980) that they are not so bad tractors. It seemed to me, that the brakes are a little underdimensioned for Germany's road (highest gear in german version more than 20mph)
if You won't have airbrakes at the trailers. If I remeber it right, the 3rd crawler is slower than the 2nd, that was fact in the Centurion. The cab is wide enough, and in summerheat You can open the door and the backwindow while Your working in the fields, so You don't need an aircondition. The engine looks like a Deutz, only in blue, no bigger problems, but You must know, that the Centurion was new, and I don't drive it for a long time. There are not much older Sames here, but where they have a dealer, You'll also see the older ones form 1980 up, most on smaller farms.

Bernhard, Derichsweiler, Germany
