Doesn't seem possible knowing the size of
Fiat, BUT I didn't believe it when 4 years ago a
Massey mechanic told me Fiat was trying to
buy CIH. Rumor is that Agco is looking for
and having talks with someone for a self
propelled forage harvester. CNH owns the
former Mengele and Forschritt harvester,
originating in what was East Germany, which
has been sold by CIH in Europe (M F sold
some Mengele models at one time. Don't
know about now) . CNH also owns the New
Holland line, and with two different forage
harvester designs under one roof, it could be
possible for CNH to sell some of their
technology or designs to Agco. This is just a
possibility and a guess on my behalf.
