Back in the 70's the experts kept telling us that by the late 80's and 90's farmers would be able to name their prices because of world hunger and food shortage. We have learned to produce more and more. We are the best in the world at what we do. Sadly, our expertise keeps the prices down. In a way, we are our own worst enemy. We have to produce better to make ends meet. We have learned how to hold down production costs. And the prices of our crops keep going lower. I wish that machinery prices would drop too. Oh well, we will survive.
