Zetor developed the Crystal series in 1968 (Unified Range 2) The communist government decided that ZTS Tees (earth movers and forestry equipment) should build the UR2 crystals. They didn't do much, i think, they only developed a synchromesh transmission and some new bonnet and cab. (the finishing is still rough) I still believe, that if the Crystal always had stay with Zetor, this would be the list [Deere-CNH-MF-Agco-Zetor] in North America. The Forterra is a new Zetor design from 1991, after the velvet revolution. I hope one day they will build their own 6 cilinder again. I don't like the fragile SAME engine in the 11641 If you want to read more, please read my website, www.zetorworld.com If you know more than i do, please mail me.
