Thanks for the information HTR. Once I get the cover off the portal hole and or rock shaft housing, how much trouble is it to put the drive coupler in? Also, can you tell me where the portal hole and rock shaft housing covers are located on my MF 245? I have worked on a lot of automobiles and trucks large and small, but never got into farm tractors. It will be learn as you go, if I get into it. I will check with the dealer first to see if it is covered. I haven't put that many hours on it, but have had it for a while.
