JD 6400 FWD problem and digitial display problemPosted by Ken on July 05, 2002 at 14:14:49 from (209.105.216.2): First FWD problem: Symptoms are: at low speeds 1-2 mph there is a vibration in the front wheels without FWD disengaged and if the loader has a heavy load on it, it is significantly worst. It seems that wheels are trying to fight the freewheeling action. All planetary gears and bearing seems to be good. Could it be the limit slip clutch plates in the diff. causing this to happen? Digital display problem: Cannot select the different modes (pto rpm, eng rpm, mph, kmhr, and hourmeter)on the display after setting any particular mode and leaving it in that mode are some time. If you disconnect the fuse or battery and reconnect it works normal for a period of time. Any ideas on these issues?
