Ford 1620...leaking down diesel

Posted by Mike M (RI) on October 29, 2000 at 10:05:40 from (209.244.130.164):

My buddy's 1620 is getting air into the metal fuel lines between the pump and the injectors. It seems to be a different line each time we find the air. Is there something we can check on the pump or possibly the solenoid on the pump before we hand it over to the dealer for repair? The only problem is the hard starting that is happening because of the leaking down. Thanks in advance for your info & knowledge.
