horse power rateings

I am intrested in purchaseing a compact 4x4,with a loader.I have a ford 3000 now,but the hills on my farm are quite steep.Spring planting i have to wait untill it drys completly hence the 4x4.problem is I need at least 32 to 35 hp.So many models...how in the world do you figure the hp rateings on tractors?would i have to visit each and every dealers web site and write the rateing down or is there a rule of thumb I could use?thanks,Sid
