Kubota vs ValtraPosted by turfking on August 27, 2002 at 18:58:23 from (208.180.194.208):
Need advice on a tractor to do contract cutting, I plan on running a 15' rotary cutter and cut pasture and utility right of ways. The pasture land will not be a problem but cutting right of ways will be harder on the equipment. I like John Deere but do not have the unlimited resources to buy one, I am currently looking at a Kobota M9000 and a Valtra M900. I have always heard the Kobota's are to light, and only know of the Valtra from this site. I was able to check out a Valtra today and it appears to be a well made tractor. But when I priced the two they were around the same price, that being said what do you guys recommend? Thanks for any help
