To my knowledge, Finland is the only country to have paid the U.S. what it owed in debt from WWII. That is saying quite a bit in itself. However, I would much prefer a Japanese brand auto or TV to something made in Finland. Somehow, fine engineering and quality doesn't make one think of the Finns (except for Valtra and Nokia) whereas it's the standard of most Japanese firms. No offense intended, but who has built the most from the least in the last 50-odd years? Yeah, I know it's off topic but it's still fun..........
