Well Dennis, the differance between a wet and dry clutch is exactly like the name implies.
The dry clutch is what has been traditionally put in tractors, and almost all automobiles for that matter, since biblical times.
Just a clutch plate spinning in the bellhousing.
Now a wet clutch works on the same principle but the clutch is operateing in a oil or hydrolic fluid resevour. Since the name, "wet clutch"
The fluid lubricates the clutch and supposidly extends the life of the clutch.
I think, IMHO, a wet clutch is better than a dry but we have been doing it dry for a long time with minimal problems.
