8600 Ford

I have a chance to buy an 8600 ford. Were these good tractors or should I avoid it? It's been setting inside for about 2 years without being used. It starts right up and runs well. Needs a little tlc on the sheet metal. Showing 2600 hrs and the tach works. I've never been around fords so I need some advice on this one. Thank you.
