Our sprayer has the 540 on it. Sure it isn't one of those huge 60ft field sprayers, but I wouldn't put it on a 20hp tractor. I know several people have said they have 1000 PTO on their machines, but I can't see it. 20hp very rarely handles whatever needs 1000. These tractors that are being talked about here sure seem to be used on hobby farms, not a real-life working farms. The uses for these two kinds of tractors are actually quite different.
