welding on tractorsPosted by hay on November 10, 2002 at 01:48:38 from (216.12.216.118):
i was wondering what, if any, problems could be encountered when welding on the newer "computerized" tractors? should the battery be disconnected and/or should a static ground strap be attached before any welding? i would assume the electronics would be as sensitive as any automoblile so i am sure some protection would be advisable. i could just envision a welding operation and afterward something electronic would not be functioning correctly. what do you techs/welders do about this?
