Ditto the other post on removing ground cable, keepping welder ground close, and unplugging if possible. Most of your welding would ither be on heavy castings or forgings relatively far from electronics so no problem. I try to use ac b/c it tends not to "wander" as much as dc. If I have to weld close to electronics esp on thin stuff I just go back to welding with oxy/acetylene. Won't work on really heavy stuff but, like I said, most of this is isolated. Also I grind ground spot bare and spot weld ground clamp in place (developed a paranoia about stray voltage when working on old gas tractors, could just see arcing inside the gas tank). Worked to hard for what I have to leave it all to the wife for her to go and spend it on some "other man"
