JD 4039 OEM oil pressure relief valve

Does anyone know the correct way to install this oil pressure relief valve. John Deere parts shows the spring goes in the block first then the valve. It just doesn't fit right and the spring jams in the hole this way. Looks more like the spool should be in first, with the point into the spring, and the spring in last. I need to have this work the first time. Thanks, Doug
