rotary cutter hp/tractor sizePosted by Jonathan Schnyer on February 20, 2003 at 09:10:23 from (128.143.36.190): Hello, Posted this on Yesterday's by mistake. My apologies! I have read all the posts about rotary cutters and hp, etc. I have a specific question about my tractor and a rotary cutter I would like to purchase. I have a 35 hp Branson, which weighs about 4000 pounds with a front end loader. I have very rough stuff to clear on about 8 acres. Was thinking about purchasing a Midwest heavy duty (5', 85 hp gearbox, 900 pounds). It has a slip clutch and chain guards. My question is about the weight of the cutter, and whether it is appropriate for my tractor. Thanks!
