A $6,000 tractor that dosen't work and can't be fixed is $6,000 down the drain. The safety stuff could be taken care of easily by requiring the owner to install the required safety equipment and certify it has been done. The good old farmall M or JD A don't have all the safety stuff of a modern tractor so why are the old Yanmars different.
I think it comes down to $$$$$ and they believe imported tractors will decrease their profit margins.
