An open message to g-manPosted by Concerned Deere Customer on April 28, 2003 at 08:50:36 from (206.191.84.251):
I'm not exactly sure what you meant in your response below to my posting about tractors other than those made by John Deere.I did not post back in January as you said so.I own three older JD tractors a 710,1830 and a mfd 2140 with sgb.My problems are with my new multi-store dealer and JD corporate office. The dealer no longer stocks parts for tractors older than two series, unless it crosses over.I must drive over 3 hours for a dealership not owned by this multi-store chain.I can not ,nor should have to travel that distance to be treated like a loyal customer of what was once the great John Deere.Maybe you are one of the dyed-in the wool Deere faithful who can not believe that the new JD is not the same as the old one that the reputation was built on.I have some news for you my boy, take a good look around because JD has changed for the worse as far as farmers are concerned!Myself I'm selling all my Deere Green and looking elsewhere for a place to spend my money. The way that JD head office and the dealer is treating me,a Belarus would be a very big improvement!
