Somebody was pulling your leg, you were not listening or you are guessing.
The 2120,2130, 3130 etc were all built in Mannheim Germany for the international market incluiding Canada but NOT the US. Deere has not, does not build tractors in Canada. They used to make manure spreaders and do or have made loaders, flail mowers, wagons and Gators in Welland Ontario.
There were no 4000 until 10 or so years ago. Waterloo tractors such as the 3020,4020,5020,6030 etc are identical in Canada and US.
