Re: Ford diesel tractorPosted by JHEnt on December 12, 2000 at 17:30:54 from (216.138.61.81): In Reply to: Ford diesel tractor posted by Bill H on December 11, 2000 at 21:33:14: The 3600 was build from 01/01/75 untill 12/31/81 when its number was replaced by the 3610. It is a 3 cylinder engine. It would have and 8 speed gearbox with one 4 speed shifter and one high low range shifter. It uses a two stage clutch to allow stopping the tractor without stopping the PTO when it is enguaged. It still has the outboard mounted dry brakes similar to the Ford 600-800 tractors. Its engine is identcal in design and build to the 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder Ford engines. The Diesel models bring very good prices. I don't know about cabs mounted on them in Europe but there are very few with factory cabs in North America.
