My new toyPosted by Fred Fabian on May 31, 2003 at 16:02:54 from (205.188.208.138):
I just bought a 2002 JD 5205 4 wd with a 521 loader. It has 54 hours. The owner was transferred from my area and I bought it for what he owed. I noticed it has larger back tires, 16.9x28 R1. The JD brochure doesn't list this size as an option. I've heard that you have to be careful when putting larger tires on 4 wd equipment so you don't mess up your ratios. Is this true? and are these tires ok? The factory size were 14.9x28. This tractor is really clean with 15 months of warranty left. Does anyone out there with one of these have any advice or info of things to look for? I had to leave it on my 10 acres and come back to the city, I can't wait to get back to it and start working it. Thanks, Fred
