The engine's are very reliable and should go on for at least 7000 hours without attention. If operating in very dusty conditions an occasional check to make sure that the fins on the block& head are clear. problems are usually caused by blocked fins leading to the cylinder nearest the cab (furthest from the fan) overheating. Otherwise very relaible.
