They will probably shoot me but have you looked into the Chinese tractors? The Farm Pros that Homier tools sells is in the price range you are looking (same models-differant paint then Nortrack sold by Harbor Freight). The biggest problem you have with these tractors is making sure they are set up right when they arrive, after that they soldier on to be pretty good units. If all your looking for is a mower and hobby tractor then these are pretty good. If your planning on putting more then 500-600 hrs a year on it you need to move up to a better line (JD, NH , ect..)
