Re: Kubota tractors for farm use?Posted by red-n-green on August 05, 2003 at 16:28:54 from (67.216.65.189): In Reply to: Kubota tractors for farm use? posted by Ed on August 04, 2003 at 19:17:52: In my opinion they are pretty good utility and haying tractors. I don't have one but know several that do. They have good hydraulic flow for loaders and backhoe attachments but are on the light side for much tillage. It takes weight to get traction for tillage and a 4wd helps so if you compare the Kubota 4900 4wd at 45 pto hp at a weight of 3900lbs to a comparable Massey, say a 360 4wd 45pto hp that is 5300lbs, which one will do more work and hold up longer to harder work? And the 5400 4wd 50 pto hp 4000lbs compared to a 362 MF 4wd 52pto hp 5900lbs. That tells me that the Kubota is missing some steel somewhere. Just my opinion. Jay
