Kubotas seem to be good tractors. I never hear much bad about them, but I was never a fan either. I know the 8x8 shuttle transmission they use in tractors up to about 70 hp was a joint development with Ford, a while back. Ford never pushed it past 60hp. To me, that says a lot about the torque characteristics of the Kubota engine, and the absolute lack of cast anywhere in the tractor. Sadly, NH, Deere and probably others have mostly gone this route lately, so it's really a crap shoot. All of these utility's are built cheap and light.....to hold market share with the Kubota. I know I won't be trading my 3930 anytime soon. It has a lot more weight built in. Kubota's are probably good for light work, PTO applications and such. Just my two cents.
