I id haying for several years with only a JD 3010D and had good luck until I started pulling a gehl 1875 round baler with it. I then spun a rod bearing. This tractor is rated at 55pto hp but is probably more like 60 to 65. It also is about 6200lbs and built like a rock. I also pulled a 13' IH 37 disk with it and a 4 bottom plow. I would look long and hard for something a little bigger than the utility tractors for much hard work. You can get parts for these things easily on the net are are simple to work on if you go with a little older machine.

Case IH 585 or 685
JD 2350 or 2440
Ford 4610 or 4630
MF 255 to 270

These are some machine I would take a look at.

Jay
