The transmission pump normally supplies enough oil to operate the pto/hi-lo and the main pump, however, the pto/hi-lo gets priority. With a leak in this circuit the pto and hi-lo will operate properly, but there won't be enough left to supply the main pump. I have repaired two of these tractors, the steel lines were the culprit in both. Hope this helps
