Here is an extra bit of info though, this summer while baling hay my end gate stopped opening. To make a long story short, I ended up changing the quick connects on the baler and it fixed it (another guy told me that he had seen them fail before). Could it be that the pump is putting out too much pressure and sealing off the quick connects? I wouldn't think so! I sure do hate to have the JD mechanics work on it...they didn't seem to have much of a clue and I'm afraid they'll end up swapping out some very expensive parts for something simple!
