Here is how I tighten mine. I pull my tractor up to the side of the mower with the FEL extending across it. I securely attach a chain from the FEL to the opposite side of the mower from the tractor. Then I lift that side until it stands vertical and then leans back toward the tractor. I lower the FEL until it is rests on the mower. The FEL and chain hold it securely and it cannot fall forward or backward. Now I can reach under the stump jumper with a wrench to hold the lock nuts on the bottom side while a helper tightens the bolts on the top side. If I don't have a helper, I can usually wedge the wrench on one side while I tighten the other.
