I had a Ford 3000 diesel until recently when I sold it. I purchased a new JD 5105. I looked at the New Holland tractors at the dealer and just didn't care for them. They just aren't made like the old Fords were. I also looked at the MF dealer, but all he had were 4WD with cabs and too expensive for my use. I liked the JD better. The JD is a slicker tractor than the NH. I've only had the JD a month, but so far am happy with it. Seems like it has a stout engine in it. The tractor has independent PTO which I like better than live PTO. Just seems to work better for round baling. Good luck.
