To start with do you have a generator or aldternator. A aldternator is only 12 volt and a generator can be 6 or 12 volt. It might be best to get a new wireing harness for your model. We have them at work if you need one. On electrical systems that have been worked on several times before it may be best to start out from scratch. You can check items you have and replace with new ones what are needed. On your tractor id the motor is good and has good comperssion a 6 volt system will work well. We have a 8N at work that we use like a gator and it has a 6 volt system and it has always started good even in cold weather. Give me a email if you have more questions.
