There is also a cable on the angle drive in the engine that can fail, or an outside chance that there is a problem in the instrument cluster. My guess is the cable. One end is attached to the angle drive below the oil filter, the other is accessed by removing the cluster. Just check and see where the problem is, as it's going to be one of the three. The parts are not expensive, and available from CNH. HTH.
