Sorry to say Deere isn't the company that is was in the days of Charles Deere Wiman or Wm E. Hewitt.
The corporate raiders are in control of Deere looking after their perks, bonouses, options and pensions first. Sad to say it’s the becoming the American way of doing business. It was upper management mistakes by the competition’s upper management and Deere’s customer relations/service that made Deere survive and grow until Hewitt’s retirement. Deere’ been coasting on it’s past reputation since.
