Its a proven design which has been around for along time. I'm not that familiar with the JD 5105. I'm not sure if its an older JD design or not. On another forum someone said that this series is built by another company on contract for JD. As far as Kubota goes I think that all depends on the local dealer. If its a true tractor dealership then I wouln't worry much about it but I also know of autoparts stores with no shop that sell Kobota. I don't think I would buy from one of these guys.
