lift capacity for 7740Posted by wk/end farmer on March 26, 2004 at 19:41:23 from (66.82.9.44): CONCERNING A '93 FORD 7740 3-PT. HYDRAULIC LIFT. I SEEM TO HAVE PROBLEMS LIFTING A 10FT. ATHENS HARROW WHICH WEIGHS ABOUT 1800LBS. THE TRACTOR LIFTS VERY SLOW IF AT ALL BETWEEN 9-1300 RPMS. NO PROBLEMS AS LONG AS TRACTOR ENGINE SPEED IS ABOVE 1400 RPMS. HYDRAULIC FLUID IS FULL, FILTER IS NEW AND THERE IS NO ASSIST CYLINDER. ALSO, THE 4 REMOTE VALVES ARE IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION. IS THIS NORMAL TO HAVE TO HAVE THIS HIGH OF RPM TO LIFT THIS KIND OF WEIGHT. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
