Do it yourself fix it questions - MF and Ford/New Holland

MF and Ford, I mean New Holland (hard to get use to) offer tractors with wet and dry brakes. They also offer live and independent PTO's. Which arrangements are easier to service/replace and why? I am thinking of, for example, the MF 241 and 263 and the NH 3930 and 3010, as well as older models like a MF 135 and a Ford 3000.
