ford 1710 reliability

the local Kubota dealer has a Ford 1710 with a 700a loader. It looks in good shape but I couldnt see the hour meter because it was crusted with ice and the dealer was closed. No obvious leaks and the bucket wasnt all bent up either. It looks like it is early to mid 90's. Were these good tractors and who made them for Ford? thanks
