I found the problem, with the great help from the local John Deere Dealer. The contact and spring on the transmission oil pressure switch had broken and made its way into the valve body in the shift cover plate, preventing the hi-lo control valve spool from moving. Several hours labor and only $15 for parts fixed the problem. Now I'm ready to cut hay again.
