Think 'backward'.Switch off means solenoid/valve on.It needes hyd pres+elec to disengage.It's been awhile & I don't have manuals here,can't picture that solenoid/elec conn in my mind but sounds like you're on track.Remember even if the solenoid works it has to be running to disengage. Or I could have brain fade & thinking of another machine LOL.
