Thanks Bob-I thought air would have just made it spongy, but not jerky. If air can cause that symptom, it makes sense for me to bleed it. I did top off the hydraulic fluid before the problem happened, and it is still full, but I suppose air could have gotten in. I have bled brake lines in cars, but not lines in a high pressure system like the lift. Are the fittings usually located in a particular place? Any idea what they look like, and do you have tips for the actual bleeding?
