Thanks Paul
The 1715 is the "bare bones" tractor. (less stuff to break, I guess).
It has 26 HP 3 cyl diesel. The power is all I need if I watch my work.Sometimes it's hard to shift and you need to double clutch it.
Could really use a bulldozer at times.
The lift arms seem to be really strong. Guess I got some good ones from your description.
Kinda worried about those swivel balls on the hookups for the pins on the equipment(on the ends of the arms). The balls are welded into the ends of the arms...they take all the pounding...seems like they have more clearance and move more than they used to. I wonder if they get loose, can they be welded back to specs or can new ones be installed? Not there yet. The top arm or third arm was bent when I got it...installed a new one and kept the old for a spare.
I had a bumper and grill guard welded up and bolted on...if not, my grill would be be trashed by now and probably the radiator too.
I have seen a couple 1715's for sale here (used) .
They were really beat up, but a lot older than mine. Mine was like new when I bought it.
Thanks , Pete im MS
